Complementing what we reported about Nobull on April 16, Business Insider has reported that this direct-to-consumer athletic footwear brand, founded in Boston by two former Reebok executives in 2015, enjoyed growth of 80 percent in 2020 because of the pandemic and reached a valutation of $500 million through a new funding round in April. The funds will be used to replenish the company’s inventories, depleted by the pandemic, and to help sell more products outside the U.S. The brand has become a favorite in the CrossFit community with which Reebok was closely linked before. It will be the title sponsor at the CrossFit Games this summer. Starting off with specific shoes for weight-lifting and other fitness activities, it recently moved into running, trail running and cycling.
