On Running, the Swiss brand of running shoes, launched a documentary to accompany the Athlete Refugee Team for the postponed 2020 Olympic Games on Saturday June 20, on the occasion of this year’s World Refugee Day. In the film, Tegla Loroupe, the well-known Kenyan runner who won the latest Ispo Cup, accompanies a small group of runners on their way from their training camp in Nairobi to the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The documentary was directed by Richard Bullock over the past three years, on three different continents and produced by the Swiss brand of running shoes in cooperation with Hungry Man Productions. Loroupe built up the training camp of the Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation (TLPF) in Nairobi. Six athletes who trained with her were chosen to join the Athlete Refugee Team by World Athletics (IAAF). On Running started to cooperate with TLPF in 2011. The Athlete Refugee Team participated for the first time in the Olympic Games in 2016. The documentary was due to be posted on the athleterefugeeteam.com website on June 20. On Running has pledged to donate 15 percent of the sales generated on June 20 through its online store to the Tegla Loroupe Peace Foundation.
