Decathlon has reported sales growth of 2.9 percent in Spain to €1,952 million, including VAT, for 2019. Sales over the internet went up by 17 percent to €136 million in the country. The number of stores increased by six to a total of 171. Meanwhile, after checking the public record, Diffusion Sport reports that Sprinter, one of the retail chains controlled by JD Sports Fashion in Spain, raised its sales by 25 percent to €280 million last year. The number of its stores rose by 26 to 154, but 19 of them were previously operating under the Sport Zone banner, which merged with JD at the beginning of 2017.
