Polygiene, the Swedish-based provider of antimicrobial treatments, posted revenues of 83.9 million Swedish kronor (€8.3m-$10.1m) in 2020, an increase of 22 percent as compared to 2019. In connection with the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company launched its ViralOff antiviral technology in April, followed by an upgraded formula with increased washability during the autumn. Most of the 100+ new agreements that the company signed in 2020 were indeed connected with the ViralOff technology, Polygiene’s CEO, Ulrika Björk, said in announcing the figures. The ViralOff technology paved the way to new product ranges for the company “such as cleaning supplies, accessories, sprays and floors,” Björk added. Among the other significant events, Polygiene announced the acquisition of Addmaster Holdings on Dec. 10, 2020. The acquisition was completed on Jan. 8, 2021.
