Tradeinn has signed a deal with Klarna – the online payment platform founded in Sweden and now headquartered in Ohio – to offer an installment plan (in three payments) to customers who wish to make big purchases on its websites. To promote its sales further, Tradeinn will be offering a code for a discount of 15 percent during the forthcoming Black Friday to Cyber Monday weekend (Nov. 27-30).
Thanks to the boost given to e-commerce by the Covid-19 lockdowns, the Spanish-based e-tailer specializing in sports products expects to generate sales of €250 million this year, representing an increase of about 33 percent from the €188 million generated in 2019.
In other events this month, Tradeinn won its third consecutive E-Commerce Award in Spain, this time as the “Best Transactional Website.” Last year it won a prize for “Best Crossborder Strategy” and the previous year as “Best Crossborder Webshop.” The awards, now in their 11th year, are given out by a group called Marketing4eCommerce.
In still other news, Tradeinn announced back in July that it was organizing its own triathlon competition. The first edition is now scheduled for May 2021, with a start and finish in Platja d’Aro, in Girona, and about 3,000 professional and amateur triathletes have signed up for it so far.
Founded in 1998, Tradeinn operates in 193 countries. All but one of its 16 webstores specialize in a sport, such as trekking or diving. The exception is Dressinn, which sells fashion apparel and street shoes. The company has one physical store, in Celrà (Girona). Its 15,000-square-meter warehouse dispatches about 15,000 parcels per day.
