The Nike group had mixed results in its third fiscal quarter ended on Feb 28., 2021, pulled up by sharply higher online sales and China’s strong growth on one side, and pulled down by transportation problems and the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the other.
On a constant-currency basis, the Nike brand’s digital sales soared by 54 percent, with strong double-digit increases in all geographies. The Jordan brand had a strong quarter, growing by double digits overall, led by digital. The group said the launch of the Air Jordan 11 Jubilee was one of the largest and most successful footwear launches ever, with more than $175 million in revenues.
