Günter Brendle, a former president of Puma's executive board, passed away at the age of 70 on March 27. He joined the Cat in the early 1980s as sales director. He expanded the company's international activities, especially in Asia, and helped the late Rudolf Dassler to organize Puma's initial public offering. He succeeded him in the top post and ran the company until the end of the 1980s. He then joined Uvex as its sales director.
