Nike has announced that it is signing on to the Fashion Industry Charter for Climate Action, an environmental commitment under the United Nations (UN) Framework Convention on Climate Change. The Charter, which was launched at COP24 in Katowice, Poland, in December 2018, goes beyond previous industry-wide commitments. It targets a 30 percent reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2030, with a view to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
