Nike has upgraded its original 1991 Air Huarache with its latest FitAdapt laceless technology. The self-lacing shoe can be voice-activated by Siri and operated by Apple Watch but features the same neoprene bootie and exoskeleton as the original Huarache. The Adapt app will activate the mid-foot lacing motor, control two LED lights that can change colors, and give users access to pre-settings for their foot type and activities. Nike launched BB Basketball, its first laceless smart shoe with FitAdapt technology, in January and signed up Jayson Tatum of the Boston Celtics to help market the shoe.
