HanesBrands, the parent company of Champion and other apparel brands, has announced that it expects fourth-quarter 2022 sales to be slightly above the top end of its outlook range. The company has also adjusted operating profit at the midpoint of the range. Its fourth-quarter investor conference is scheduled for Feb. 2 at 8:30 a.m. EST. HanesBrands has also announced that Michael Dastugue, its chief financial officer, resigned effective Feb. 28, 2023, for family reasons. Scott Lewis, the company’s chief accounting officer and controller, will take over as interim chief financial officer until a successor is found. Dastugue will continue to serve in a financial consultancy position through the second quarter of 2023. In its statement, the company pointed out that Dastugue’s departure “is not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the Company’s operations, policies, or practices.”
