China is set to become Lululemon’s second most important market worldwide in 2026. This was specified by CEO Calvin McDonald. In an interview with China Daily he said: “Our new goal is to quadruple our international business again by 2026. The Chinese mainland will be a big part of that opportunity as we continue to invest in the market, in stores, in digital and build a community.” According to McDonald, the Chinese are very interested in their health and well-being. This could be an enduring trend.

“We are committed to supporting the well-being of people and communities through physical, mental and social dimensions, which is very much aligned with the Healthy China priorities,” McDonald said to China Daily.

The brand had already announced in the spring that it would increase the number of stores in China from the current 71 to 220.
