Manchester United said it will launch a new e-commerce offering later this year and has chosen Scayle Commerce Engine as the official e-commerce platform partner. This is to ensure that the soccer club has one of the most modern commerce platforms in the industry. The new webshop will be developed in line with the club’s aim to provide a first-class direct-to-consumer experience for its global fan base.
Germany-based Scayle is a flexible B2C SaaS enterprise shop system built on a headless and API-first architecture that already provides the technical backbone for more than 140 online stores. According to the company, it was specifically designed for B2C use cases with a strong focus on the fashion, lifestyle and sports sectors. The software is already used by brands like Deichmann, s.Oliver, Fielmann, FC Bayern München, Marc O’Polo and Depot.
