Ovation eSports AG, a Swiss e-sports organization based in Zurich, announced a collaboration with Swiss menswear brand Strellson. Ovation manages a team of young athletes who act as both content creators and influencers in the gaming industry. The collaboration spans the entire Ovation organization and its esports teams. As part of the partnership, Ovation and its players will leverage digital and live activations such as community tournaments, as well as other joint events in the gaming world. The collaboration kicked off with a performance boot camp in Stuttgart, Germany, which included a photoshoot of the FW 22 Strellson collection and the team players competing in the $3 million Fortnite Champion Series finals. Monthly Strellson Community Cups and further integrations of the brand into the gaming world are to follow in the months to come. Nicolai Zereske, head of marketing & visual merchandising at Strellson, said: “We have long recognized the potential that gaming offers and are now excited to announce our collaboration with Ovation eSports. For us, the question wasn’t if we would get into gaming but rather when and how. What is particularly exciting for us: e-sports offers us a unique opportunity to approach generations Y and Z in a very authentic and target group-specific manner.”
