361 Degrees Europe, the European entity for the Chinese sports footwear and apparel company, is forming a group of runners who will act as ambassadors for a campaign titled “Beyond Expectations.” They form an eclectic mix of runners who share their stories of enthusiasm, commitment and optimism, aligned with the message of the Chinese brand. This comes less than two years after 361 Degrees opened an office in Amsterdam to cover the European market. While the Chinese brand offers a wide range of sportswear and apparel, the European entity focuses more strongly on running, selling an international range that is developed and manufactured separately. The ambassadors include runners such as Wil Chung from the U.K., who describes himself as an obstacle course, trail and road runner as well as a marketing ninja. Chung has only been running for two years but aims to complete at least 50 miles in the World's Toughest Mudder. Others appear to be more leisurely runners, who have taken up running as part of their healthier habits and set goals for motivation. The company said that its initial team of ambassadors is to be steadily enlarged with people who are driven to go beyond expectations through running.
