A former senior buyer and category manager at Sport Eybl & Sports Experts, Wolfgang Gaffal, has launched his own retail business. Since early May he has been operating an 80-square-meter outlet in Linz, Austria. It called Wolf-Sport and is exclusively dedicated to sports shoes. The concept is low-budget and offers overstocks from international athletic footwear brands. Gaffal quit Eybl last spring, i.e. before the investment of U.K. retailer Sports Direct International in May 2013.
