A German private-sector watchdog, the Centre for Protection against Unfair Competition, has filed a suit in a regional court in Berlin against Zalando, accusing the e-tailer of false advertising. The suit alleges that Zalando had made customers believe that they had to act to buy certain clothing items on its website because they were in short supply. Zalando responded by saying that it had already changed the wording on its website after the watchdog had raised concerns about the issue a few months ago.
