A lawsuit filed by a New York man against Adidas claims that the company's AdiPure barefoot shoes didn't provide the benefits that they promised, and what's worse, he was actually injured from running in them. Joseph Rocco bought the $90 shoes and says that he suffered compound fractures from running in them. He said that Adidas never warned customers about the potential dangers, and that the shoes didn't live up to promises of increased training efficiency. Rocco wants a refund for the purchase price of the shoes as well as statutory damages, and is seeking class-action status for anyone who bought AdiPure shoes since they came out last August. Adidas has not commented on the suit.
