A new title sponsor is expected to be announced soon for the Dublin Marathon. Last year, the title sponsor of three years, Lifestyle Sports, stepped down. In addition, Adidas stopped its 10-year involvement as a sponsor; it has been replaced by Asics. The race director, Jim Aughney, has said that several parties have expressed interest but talks are continuing. Last year's marathon drew 13,500 runners from more than 40 countries, and added more than €10 million to the city's coffers.
