A Spanish distribution company, General Outdoor Ibérica, will take over the distribution of the Swedish brand Poc in South America. General Outdoor Ibérica already distributes Poc as well as Bergans, 4FRNT and Skins in Spain and Andorra. For the moment, General Outdoor Ibérica will handle the distribution of Poc in the Chilean and the Colombian markets. In Chile, the distribution will be handled directly by General Outdoor Ibérica. In Colombia, sales agents will take care of the distribution. Soon the company should also take care of the distribution in Brazil and Costa Rica. Due to the language barrier, Poc is apparently glad to pass the distribution over to its Spanish distributor, which is directly organizing the commercial work in the South American countries. General Outdoor Ibérica will also try to sell some Skins garments in Latin America, as the brand doesn't have any exclusive distributors in the region and has no plans in the territory. The distribution of Skins in Spain was very successful in the first half of 2011, with sales doubling compared with the same period last year. Higher-priced products sold particularly well. At the moment, Skins is sold in 130 points of sale in Spain. General Outdoor aims to increase the number of points of sale to 170-180 by the end of the year.
