A total of 2,296 professional visitors attended the latest edition of Ösfa, the Austrian sporting goods show in Salzburg's Brandboxx trademart. The relatively good turnout was attributed to a shift in its schedule from the weekend to Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The figures were not comparable with those published a year ago, which included other types of visitors as well. The number of exhibitors declined to 170 from 190 because some of them requested more space for their presentations, according to the organizers. Meanwhile, Markus Oberhamberger, a 36-year-old event marketing expert, is taking over as chief executive of Brandboxx Salzburg, replacing a managerial duo: Thomas Lüftenegger, who has already left the company, and André van Rooije, chief executive of the Dutch Brandboxx.
