Accell Group is expected to undergo a new round of restructuring, which should affect, in particular, its Dutch companies. According to a report in Bike Europe, the staff of the Accell's companies in the Netherlands was informed on Oct. 2 of the proposed changes, but the details of the new round of reorganization have not yet been announced officially. Rumors refer to “structural changes.” Last April, a reorganization plan was announced that would involve the integration of the bike manufacturing activities of Batavus and Sparta and the transfer of Juncker Bike Parts to the vacated Sparta premises, where a new warehouse system will be built. These changes will result in the loss of some 60 jobs out of an overall staff of 595 in Accell's Dutch companies and in structural cost savings of €2 to €3 million annually. The relocation operation was scheduled to be completed in December 2014.
