According to a new report by the Norwegian Health Directorate, the number of people doing sufficient physical activity in Norway has risen by 4 percent over the past five years. In terms of inhabitants, the figures mean that over 200,000 people are more physically active now than five years ago. A closer look at the demographic breakdown shows that only 25 percent of men between 20 and 34 years old and 29 percent of women in the same age group meet the recommendations for physical exercise made by the country's health authorities. By comparison, 39 percent of women between 50 and 64 are deemed to be sufficiently active. The same goes for 35 percent of the men aged between 50 and 64.
