According to a survey conducted by a Norwegian organization, Norsk Friluftsliv, four out of ten Norwegians were not planning on going skiing this winter. When the last survey was conducted two years ago, 55 percent stated that they had been skiing during the winter or had plans to do so. In this year's survey, only 44 percent gave this response. Lasse Heimdal, general secretary of the organization, which promotes outdoor activities, says that, over time, climate change will affect outdoor participation significantly, and that the Norwegian winter holiday week in February will probably turn into an early spring vacation for many.
