According to a top Chinese football official, Lv Feng, China’s Super League, the country’s highest tier in professional football, is in discussion with Nike for a 10-year sponsorship deal worth $200 million. The organization has already agreed to an initial endorsement worth $15 million for 2009, which will provide all 12 teams with $732,000 in equipment and $220,000 cash, states the Beijing Times. The league has had a series of setbacks, including a dropped sponsorship deal from Siemens AG in 2005.
