Adalbert von der Osten, managing director of the German sporting goods industry association, BSI, has joined a 12-man advisory committee of the federal environment ministry for the protection of the environment and sport. Environmental issues and initiatives have been in the forefront of BSI's action under von der Osten, particularly in connection with the Clean Clothes Campaign. He has also managed to restore BSI's finances. A few weeks ago, the board of BSI was confirmed without any changes for an additional three years. It is still headed up by Désirée Derin-Holzapfel and by three vice presidents – Tilman Meyer from Cavallo A. Sahle, Andreas Schechinger from Tatonka and Karl Sedlmeyer from Adidas.
