Adidas and Manchester United have declared that the launch of the team's new kit has been the most successful in both the club and the brand's history. The German sporting goods giant replaced Nike as the team's kit supplier on Aug. 1, after signing a ten-year, $1.28 billion partnership deal with the club. The Adidas store in Manchester experienced more than a week's worth of business on the day of launch while many global retailers reported a 200 percent increase in the first day of sales as compared to last year's launch. The club's website and social channels experienced more than 212 million content impressions and a total of 7 million cumulative interactions upon the kit's launch. The film that was released when the kit went live, at midnight on August 1, went on to get more than two million views.
