Adidas and Parley for the Oceans have announced the return for the second consecutive year of Run for the Oceans, a running initiative to raise awareness of the threat of marine plastic pollution, from June 8 to July 8. Adidas and Parley will be hosting a series of runs in major cities worldwide including New York, Los Angeles, Paris, Berlin, London, Barcelona, Milan and Shanghai. Weekly running initiatives will also be organized in 50 Adidas Runners communities around the world. Adidas will match every kilometer run with $1 – for the first one million km – to support the Parley Ocean Plastic Program, focusing specifically on the Parley Ocean School initiative.
