Adidas and Reebok have filed a federal lawsuit in the U.S. against 25 websites, allegedly operated by unnamed Chinese parties, which are said to be selling fake merchandise under their brand names. Outletsupplier.com, adidas2runningshoes.com, fans777.com and prosoccerusa.com are among those websites. Charging cybersquatting, fraudulent conduct, trademark counterfeiting and infringement, and false designation of origin, the Adidas Group is requesting $100,000 in statutory damages for each pirate domain name.
