Adidas’ web3 division, Three Stripes Studio (/// Studio), has instituted a residency program for digital artists. Residency by Adidas, as it is called, will open operations on Sept. 7. This coincides with Korean Blockchain Week in Seoul, where the company will be displaying works by the program’s first resident artists – among them MonkeeMoto, of Japan, and Dear Nostalgia, of Lebanon – at a show called The Gateway, put on by the web3 platform NFT Now.
Every artist-in-residence will be issuing 100 NFTs. These will be sold at the show in Seoul with an accompanying hoodie for 0.15 ETH apiece. They will also be sold for 0.03 ETH apiece, without the hoodie, through Open Edition and (for those who wish to use a bank card) Manifold. The off- and online sales will run on Sept. 6-8 and Sept. 6-11, respectively, or until an edition of 100 sells out – whichever comes first.
