Adidas filed a federal complaint last Apr. 8 in Miami, accusing 150 Chinese-operated websites of infringing on the trademarks of Adidas, Reebok and Mitchell & Ness through the sale of counterfeit products. The sites listed in the lawsuit include domain names such as www.classicsneakers.com, www.soccerstarshop.net and www.zigtechshoesbuy.com. The complaint points out that companies are currently required to file a large number of lawsuits against the same individuals and groups because of the recent explosion of counterfeit sales over the internet.
