Adidas filed a suit against Sears in the U.S. District Court of Portland, Oregon on July 28, charging that the two- and four-striped shoes offered by the retailer have been infringing on the Big a's Three-Stripe logo. The lawsuit seeks injunctions, compensation and damages for alleged trademark infringement and dilution, unfair competition and deceptive trade practices. In the past few years, Adidas launched similar suits against DVS Shoe, Abercrombie & Fitch, Kmart and, most recently in 2012, against Wolverine Worldwide.
