Adidas Group is doing some shifting among its executives in Latin America. Fernando Basualdo, the managing director of the Adidas Group in Mexico, has moved to São Paulo to take over that role for Adidas do Brasil. Basualdo succeeds Marcelo Ferreira, who will be leaving the company after a one-month collaborative transition period. Basualdo will continue to report to Charlie Maurath, head of Adidas Group Latin America. Basualdo has led the Mexican company since 2003. Before that, he was managing director in Chile and the country manager in Peru. Pablo Lamo will be moving to Mexico City to take Basualdo's place, also reporting to Maurath. Lamo has been the head of Adidas Sport Style in Latin America since 2008, and prior to that had been marketing and sales director for Adidas in Argentina. His successor at Sport Style hasn't been named yet.
