Adidas has announced the signature of a multi-year partnership deal with Sidney Crosby. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed. The National Hockey League (NHL) star will represent Adidas at major international sporting events and brand initiatives around the world. He will also consult with the brand on apparel and equipment design. Crosby is the captain of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He was previously sponsored by Reebok. Crosby is a Stanley Cup winner and two-time Olympic gold medalist. Crosby notched his 800th career point last season and became the sixth fastest player in NHL history to reach 800 points. Adidas will be the official outfitter of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey.
