Adidas has been ordered to pay some 200,000 Russian rubles (€5,000-$6,600) for delayed deliveries to the Russian army, according to media reports in Die Welt and Iswestija, two leading newspapers in Germany and Russia, respectively. Apparently, the Russian army had demanded damages worth 115 million rubles (€2.9m-$3.8m), but a court in the country lowered the fine significantly. Reportedly, the German company won a bid to supply 100,000 training suits and related footwear in 2010, but did not deliver the products on time.
