Adidas is launching its first “barefoot” shoe, the Adipure, starting in the U.S. next November with a recommended retail price of $90 a pair. The European retail launch is expected next June 1. The Adipure is described as a shoe with a low footbed and a minimalistic profile that promotes a natural movement of the foot while protecting the skin and providing traction and durability. It features an independent toe separation design. The Adipure is mainly targeted at athletes who want to maximize their workout in the gym.
