Adidas said it was made aware on June 26 that an unauthorized party had gained access to customer information from its e-commerce platform in the U.S. A preliminary investigation indicates that a few million records were stolen including contact information, user names and encrypted passwords, but there was no evidence at the time of the announcement that credit card data were affected. While conducting a forensic review, Adidas is notifying the affected customers. Earlier this year; some 150 million records were stolen from Under Armour's MyFitnessPal servers.
