Adidas is discontinuing its training app Runtastic, according to German online magazine Business Insider. Adidas acquired the Austrian startup, which launched in 2009, in 2015. Scott Dunlap, CEO at Runtastic & VP mobile at Adidas, who was appointed to succeed co-founder and CEO Florian Gschwandtner at Runtastic in 2019, has to cut 70 of 250 jobs as a result. The restructuring affects people in all departments, according to LinkedIn posts.
