Adidas tops the Textiles, Apparel and Luxury Goods sector in the latest Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), an annual evaluation of companies' sustainability practices. The German sportswear brand has been included in the DJSI for the 19th consecutive year. The annual DJSI review assesses the sustainability performance of the largest 2,500 firms listed in the Dow Jones Global Total Stock Market Index, looking at issues such as corporate governance, supply chain standards, labor practices and climate change mitigation, among others. Adidas was rated the industry best in seven criteria, including innovation management, materiality, supply chain management, human rights, environmental policy and management systems, operational eco-efficiency, social reporting.
