After a year's hiatus, the Swesport trade fair near Stockholm will be back on Nov. 27-28, but in a new format that caters primarily to independent retailers. Its role diminished after the purchasing activities of the major Swedish sporting goods chains became more centralized. Therefore, Sweden's trade association in the sector, Sportsforum, cancelled the Swesport fair for one year and spent the time asking exhibitors and stores what they wanted from a trade fair. The answers they received have resulted in a new exhibition format. Sportsforum expects that the new fair will see around 40-50 vendors exhibiting. Most of them will be former exhibitors, but some new brands will also be on hand.
