After hiring Stefanie Gruber as international sales manager in November, Sportalm has been expanding its store franchising concept. Entering the U.S. market, the Austrian sports apparel brand opened its first franchised single-brand store in Aspen, Colorado at the end 2013. Sportalm will continue its expansion in Eastern Europe in 2014, opening a new franchised mono-brand store in Minsk in the spring of 2014 and one in Kiev in the autumn. Sportalm recently opened a new franchised store in Zakopane, Poland. By the end of 2014, the Austrian brand of high-end skiwear and fashionable clothing will have a total of 10 franchised stores in Eastern Europe.
