On June 21, in presenting its report on the Spanish sporting goods market for 2021 at Barcelona’s Museu Olímpic i de l’Esport, the Spanish Sport Association (Afydad) announced its new slate of directors.

Andrés de la Dehesa, founder and CEO of Sportmas, was elected president for the second time three months ago. In his account of the new lineup, as reported by CMDsport, “there will be two vice presidents and 11 directors. The committee will go from one to three women, while the other eight members are men.”

Mar Peire, the founder, owner and CEO of COOLCASC, remains first vice president. The second is now Guillermo Ruiz, CEO of Bestep.

The other directors are Albert Navarro (Bestial Wolf), Isaac Taberner (marketing director for sports manegement, Universitat de Vic), Jokin Umerez (Ternua), José Juan Fernández (Retail Business Solutions), Maurici Carbó (Sports Tourism Consulting), Pilar Moreo (Mondo), Toni Amat (Tradebike), Diego Hidalgo (Trangoworld), Marina López (Joma), Jorge Gómez (Starvie) and Tomás Junquera (Thomas Wellness).
