Airesis, the Swiss holding company that owns a majority stake in Le Coq Sportif, has acquired 92 percent of Movement Group, a Swiss company specializing in freestyle skis with a turnover in the range of 15 million Swiss francs (€14.4m-$16.1m). Sealed at an undisclosed price, the acquisition encompasses Wild Duck SA, which owns the Movement brand, as well as Casoar SA, a Swiss distribution company. Airesis said Movement's strategy and management would remain unchanged under the leadership of Serge Baud, the brand's co-founder, chief executive and shareholder. The buyer added that it could take advantage of synergies between Le Coq Sportif and Casoar to expand the French brand's reach in the Swiss market. Movement was launched by a snowboarder and a skier in the Swiss Alps toward the end of the nineties. Airesis says that Movement stands out for its original constructions as well as striking graphic design. The company is based in Puidoux, Vaud, and has about 120 employees.
