Amer Sports is expected to announce a 50 percent improvement in operating profit and a 21 percent increase in net profit to €44.3 million on 14 percent higher sales of €552 million for the fourth quarter of 2010 when it reports its full-year results on Thursday, according to the mean estimate of 10 analysts who follow the Finnish company. On a mean basis, all its three segments should post sales increases, with a 17 percent rise in Ball Sports, a 14 percent gain for Winter/Outdoor and a 10 percent improvement in Fitness. This would imply that Amer's results for the full year would show an increase in net profit of slightly more than 31 percent to €75.1 million on a 12 percent improvement in turnover to €1,709 million, with Winter/Outdoor rising by 14 percent to an estimated level of €982 million. A further boost of 5 percent is projected for Amer's revenues in 2011.
