Amer Sports' winter and outdoor sports division for the Americas (ASWO), comprising the U.S. operations of Salomon, Suunto and Atomic, has updated its marketing management structure to focus on retailers and consumers instead of products. As part of the reorganization, Courtney Vermaas has been promoted from her previous slot as Suunto USA's marketing coordinator to outdoor brand manager, overseeing the American divisions of Salomon Outdoor and Suunto. Jordan Judd will keep his title as marketing director for Atomic USA and add on the role of sales director for the same division. Kathryn Smith joins Atomic USA as alpine brand manager, coming from Snow Sports Industries of America, where she was assistant marketing manager. Paul Guimond, the Salomon Outdoor brand manager, is now the outdoor field and retail marketing manager for ASWO overall. The company is working on a appointing a manager to run a new department encompassing marketing/communications and shared services, particularly on the creative side.
