Andrés de la Dehesa has reportedly been elected president of the Asociación de Fabricantes y Distribuidores de Artículos Deportivos (Afydad), the Spanish association of sporting goods suppliers and distributors, for the next four years. He is taking over from Xavier Berneda, who has been on the presidential seat for eight years. The statutes of the association did not allow Berneda to run again, and De la Dehesa was the only candidate in the election held in Barcelona during Afydad's general assembly earlier this month. He is the chief executive of Codesport, which provides IT and digital services for the sports industry. He was elected to a team that also includes two vice presidents, Mar Peire from Coolcasc and Luis Pruñonosa, Iberian country manager for Le Coq Sportif.
