Anta Sports of China saw its net profit decline by 22 percent to 927.3 million renminbi (€100.6m-$144.9m) for the first half of this year as the gross margin fell by 0.9 percentage points to 42.8 percent and its operating margin slipped by 1.3 percentage points to 24.6 percent. Still, the company's sales went up by 29 percent to RMB 4,451 million (€483.0m-$695.5m) for the period, with increases of 27 percent in footwear, 29 percent in apparel and 60 percent in accessories. The company plans to lift the number of Fila stores in China, Hong Kong and Macau from 200 to 300 by the end of this year. By then, it should also have in place 1,100 sports lifestyle stores, 600 children's stores and 8,200 Anta stores.
