ANWR Group, the parent company of Sport 2000 Germany and several buying groups in shoe retailing, reached sales of €7.6 billion in 2012, which was about the same as the previous year, but the group expects that its turnover will increase this year. Some €5.2 billion came from financial services provided by the group, the rest from sales to affiliated sporting goods and shoe retailers across Europe, amounting to €2.4 billion. The 11,000 retail members affiliated with the ANWR Group, comprising ANWR Schuh, Sport 2000, Quick Schuh, ANWR Garant International and Goldkrone, reported contrasted sales in 2012. The turnover of the German shoe stores was stable last year, while Austrian retailers managed to increase their sales. On the other hand, Dutch shoe stores suffered sales declines of up 10 percent last year. German and Swiss retailers affiliated with Sport 2000 lifted their sales by 4 percent last year, after a very tough season in 2011. Still, they remained cautious and their orders to ANWR's central organization declined by 4 percent. Affiliated shoe retailers were even more cautious, as their orders declined by 8 percent compared with the previous year.
