ANWR Group announced plans to add a new building to its existing Ordercenter O1 on the Mainhausen Campus in Germany. Following the building permit submission, the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony is scheduled for October 2022, with completion planned for December 2023. Showrooms ranging in size from 100 to 500 square meters will be offered on a floor space of 2,500 square meters. The design of the corresponding four-story building adjacent to the Nike showroom is currently in the planning stage. The new facility is architecturally aligned with the Ordercenter O1 and connected to it via a short walkway. Fritz Terbuyken, the board member responsible for the project, is very satisfied with the interest shown by potential tenants. So far, 70 percent of the planned space has already been leased, including to Rieker, Crocs, Deuter and Hoka.
With the construction and opening of Ordercenter O1 in January 2014, ANWR had already laid the foundation for developing the location into one of Europe’s most important order centers for footwear and sports retailers. Since August 2020, additional showroom, office and conference space has been opened in a complementary new building. Nike uses an area of approximately 2,000 square meters on two levels: a 1,500-square-meter showroom on the first floor and another 500 square meters for offices on the upper floor. Asics swapped its showroom on the 2nd floor of the O1 for a 400-square-meter space in the new building, significantly expanding, modernizing and upgrading it. Over 100 brands are currently represented in the 80 showrooms.
