Asics Corporation’s net income fell by 21 percent to ¥9.73 billion (€83.1m-$106.1m) for the nine months ended Dec. 31. Operating income was off by only 2 percent for the period to ¥18.7 billion (€159.6m-$203.9m). Total nine-month sales for the group were 11 percent higher at ¥184.62 billion (€1,576.2m-$2,013.1m). Asics is currently forecasting net income of ¥10.5 billion (€89.6m-$114.5m) and sales of ¥243.0 billion (€2,074.6m-$2,649.7m) for the year ending Mar. 31.
