Asics Ventures has made an investment in Deportare Technologies, a Japanese firm that operates an online fitness academy that is supposed to train fitness coaches, certifying them as “healthcare catalysts.” The company was set up in July 2020 by Yuma Takashita, the founder of the exclusive Deportare Club in Tokyo, a gym open to athletes and other selected customers. Asics says it will partner with Deportare Technologies to strengthen its offering of fitness training services in self-managed sport facilities including the large low-oxygen Asics Sports Complex in Tokyo Bay.
